The Foster Care Department supports students in foster care based on federal and state law, coordinates with outside agencies and schools, maintains an accurate list of students in foster care enrolled in the Clark County School District (CCSD), coordinates school of origin requests, and assigns a surrogate parent as required based on a determination of need.
