School Health Services are provided through a child’s local school district and are designed to meet the needs of a child. The District is able to be reimbursed for services provided to Medicaid-eligible students. Services are provided in the school setting and may include but are not limited to: behavior/mental health services, nursing services, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and audiological services.
Please note that these services, except for crisis interventions and developmental screenings, require a separate signed consent for services unrelated to the Consent for Release of Information and Medicaid Reimbursement.
The Medicaid School Health Services program does not impact a family’s Medicaid services, funds, or limits in any way. Please see Nevada Medicaid Web Announcement 3193 for additional information.
