Tier I Site-based assistive technology consists of light-tech, broad-based, widely used technologies, and many of the teaching strategies, accommodations, and modifications that are implemented daily throughout CCSD. When considering the need for Assistive Technology, IEP teams should start by looking at the site-based supports available at the school for AT considerations to match student needs with site-based AT. Examples include single message buttons (e.g., Big Mack), picture supports, as well as school-based/ site-based computers and Chromebooks.
