Office of Professional Learning

Department Overview

The Office of Professional Learning serves teachers, support professionals and administration in their needs for workshops concerning students with disabilities, for example, inclusive practices, master scheduling, Individualized Education Program (IEP) development, strategies, teaching/supporting reading, math, and writing.

• CORE Reading, Read Well, Step Up to Writing involving students in special education.
• Including all students on a comprehensive campus, i.e., master scheduling training.
• Training on taking data, analyzing it and how to apply data results to teaching.
• Workshops on using positive behavior techniques/Behavior Intervention Plans.
• Training on writing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
