Special Education Service Providers

Area Special Education Teams are responsible for providing direct support to their school communities in relation to Special Education.

• Provide professional learning, coaching, and mentorship for site-based special education staff.
• Respond to special education concerns from parents and service requests from school teams.
• Attend IEP meetings to support school team members through the IEP process.
• Liaison to Related Services personnel and other special education departments.
• Work collaboratively with the Office of Compliance and Monitoring and school sites to support compliance.
